Energy Transition Theater: TechTalk: On the Forefront: Vanadium Flow Battery Technology

Vanadium flow batteries are emerging as a proven storage option for a wide range of grid and C&I applications, however, familiarity with the technology remains fairly nascent. This session will provide an expert overview of the technology including chemistry fundamentals, vanadium flow battery design, materials and components, performance characteristics, suitability for various storage applications, comparison to other storage technologies including lithium ion and other flow battery types, and examples of vanadium flow batteries in the field.
